Interactive Whiteboards

Greetings

• Teachers take turn in putting up some typical greetings on the smart board.
• Show how students can then sort using different pages of smart notes
• "What does it mean to be Interactive?", "What tools exist in classrooms that would qualify?"
  

SMART Board Intro

• SMART Board Components - Red and green lights, serial and vga connections
• Input Methods - onscreen keyboard, number pad, simple keyboard, pens and eraser
• SMART Tools - Quick Menu
• Start Center - Magnifier, screen shade, spotlight and large pointer
• Control Pannels - Settings, Align/Orient, Connection wizard, pen and buttons settings,
• Floating Tools - Screen Capture, Large pointer, pen, highlighter, undo, eraser, right mouse and you can customize

• For each problem teachers develop a plan of action to deal with that problem and discuss their strategies
